HomeSafe ID Re-Registration Checklist

Before you begin, please take a moment to carefully review the below.

Accurate information is crucial to ensuring your pet can be safely returned if lost. When completing the form, please take your time and double-check all entries before submitting to avoid delays or errors in your pet’s registration.

1️⃣ Confirm Your Eligibility - Important!

✔ This purpose of this form is to re-register pets registered with HomeSafe ID.
✔ If your pet is registered with Central Animal Records (CAR), Australasian Animal Registry (AAR) or PetSafe, please contact them directly as we will not be able to re-register your pet with us.
Please ensure to check your pet’s registration by searching their microchip number on PetAddress first.

2️⃣ Verify the Pet Owner's Details

✔  The person submitting this request must be the same owner listed on HomeSafe ID. Changing owners will delay your request being processed.

✔ If your legal name has changed (e.g., due to marriage or a legal name change), you’ll need to provide supporting documentation. You’ll see a checkbox under Legal First and Surname on the next page—please ensure to check it and upload the required document.

If your request involves more detailed checks, such as changing ownership, don’t worry, we’re still here to help! To ensure we handle your request properly, we ask that you complete a manual form instead. You can download a copy via the button below. This allows us to give your request the care and attention it needs while making sure everything is processed correctly.
